Although I’ve been super busy lately, you haven’t seen many updates around here. Today I want to give you a peek behind the curtain at what’s going on.

Over the past couple of months, thousands of lines of code have been written for church websites.

• The Basic Church Theme was released.
• The Church Pack plugin has seen lots of development and improvements.
• A child theme for Basic Church is almost ready.
• Another great church theme is in development.
• Several more child themes are planned.

It’s been exciting to see many projects I’ve envisioned coming together nicely. I’ve spent some time examining what I’m doing and what I hope to accomplish. Here’s a run down of where I’m headed over the next couple of months.

I’ve decided to release a free and a pro version of the Church Pack plugin. The free version will be available on the WordPress repository & the pro version will be available here.

I’ve also decided to move everything from the Basic Church Theme website over to WP for Church. This means very soon WP for Church members will be able to download the Basic Church theme and use it on unlimited sites!

Currently, WP for Church offers a 30 day free trial, then costs only $2.50 per month (paid annually). Up until now, this includes access to our training content and support for the Sermon Manager plugin. However, by the middle of this month, it will also include the Basic Church Theme. By June 1st, the pro version of the Church Pack plugin will be available as well. Shortly after this, more themes will be released.  Sermon Manager is also getting a big update! The pricing structure for WP for Church will change, and this also means that the 30 day trial will go away. If you want to lock in the current low pricing, make sure to register for an annual subscription soon!
